TBT: I Love Fashion/Trends & That's okay

Since it's #TBT (Throwback Thursday) and because I guess I am on a Be Yourself/Love Yourself promotion this week, I decided to share a post I wrote and shared on my Bloglovin page in mid-October. This was written prior to me creating this blog site. Still makes me makes me laugh!

Original Post from October 18, 2017

“I had the funniest, yet expected, reaction from some of my coworkers today at work. :) First of all let me mention I am super fortunate to love my job and my coworkers (most of which are friends now).

  • Anyways, I came in this morning, and a couple of my coworkers asked, "Why do you have holes in your shirt?" to which I replied, "I don't know, I actually bought it this way. (I then laughed)." Then of course I got the expected, "Well, hope you didn't spend too much on it; I wouldn't pay $40 dollars for something with holes, (they laughed). To which I then replied, "Actually I didn't pay that much; I bought it on sale at Nordstrom Rack, (Big Smile from me to them). It may have holes but it's super soft and cozy (still big smile on my face)."

Not sure where they came up with the $40 price, because I never told them how much I paid for this super cozy, trendy sweater. :) My hubby also said the same thing pretty much, haha.

I don't know about anyone else, but this kinda proves the point that I do NOT get dressed for other (well maybe, other fashion lovers LOL) and I don't really care what others think anymore; I love fashion and trends and will continue to dress for me.

I use to care WAY TOO MUCH, and what I Finally have learned as I have gotten older, is that I am so much happier NOT carrying or worrying about what everyone else thinks of me or about me. I just wish I could have always been or thought this way; would have saved me a lot of stress and time. Oh well, lesson learned and I hope to only continue growing and learning.

Anyways, just thought I would share this funny experience that I am pretty sure others have been through as well. Point is, Be You and don't stress the small things.

Cheers!

(Here is a picture of me at work today wearing my sweater with holes, lol) Thanks Topshop and Nordstrom Rack! I love it! Oh and I am a huge Taylor Swift fan and noticed she wore this exact sweater in one of her Att&t promos/commercials, ha ha)"
